With the terrible gang problems causing unsafe conditions in Haiti, Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, Michigan was still looking to serve Haitians. Dr. Robert Antolak and Pastor Tony Boos contacted Jackie Rychel at Ministry In Mission, looking for a way to continue Faith’s calling to do mission trips in Haiti.
The answer was in the Dominican Republic! Ministry In Mission had scouted out opportunities in the Dominican last fall and is now ready to take missionary teams to serve the needy Haitians who live in the batey’s in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Antolak, a dentist, has been using his profession to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in Haiti for many years. He has portable dental equipment that he can set up virtually anywhere. He, and the team, set up a dental office in a church and one other location in Puerto Plata, DR, and pulled 175 teeth from 73 patients. The team prayed with each patient.
The team also did other activities to share the Good News, which we will highlight in future posts.
The next trip will be in February 2023!
