After a full day of serving the people of Haiti, the Concordia Nebraska team rolled up their sleeves and started painting. Under the supervision of Haitian Master Painter Elli, the team painted a house in the Lutheran Village that was built just after earthquake by The Lutheran Church World Relief and Human Care. The house was in need of re-painting.
David and Goliath showed up at the Center of Refuge Orphanage, by way of a skit during a vacation bible school session. Bible stories, coloring and a little English teach also was done by the Concordia team.
The usual Thursday Baudouin feeding program was a little more hectic than usual as we gave out donated flip flop shoes to these needy children. Right after the feeding program the team taught English as a second language to a number of young Haitians in two groups. The first was a basic group and the second was a conversational group of young adults that discussed many subjects and questions, very interesting.
